Welcome to aiSummary!

The tab appears automatically on pages that look like articles, blog posts, or content pages. It detects signals like article meta tags, schema markup, URL patterns (like /blog/ or /article/), and sufficient text content. On pages that don't meet these criteria, you can always use the popup button to manually trigger a summary.

aiSummary is designed to be helpful, not intrusive. The tab won't appear on social media sites (Facebook, X, etc.), email services (Gmail, Outlook), search engines (Google, Bing), video platforms (YouTube, Netflix), or banking sites. These are intentionally excluded because summaries wouldn't be useful there. On any other page, you can still trigger a summary manually via the browser popup.

Click the aiSummary icon in your browser toolbar and select "Open Settings" to access customization options:

• Display Mode: Choose between right edge tab, left edge tab, or floating button positions
• Colors: Customize the primary, background, and text colors
• Summary Length: Choose between concise, standard, or verbose summaries
• Excluded Domains: Add websites where you don't want the widget to appear

There are two ways to hide aiSummary on a website:

1. Quick method: Click the small "×" button above the aiSummary tab. You'll be asked if you want to hide it forever on that domain.
2. Settings method: Go to extension settings and add the domain to your excluded domains list.

You can always re-enable sites from the settings page.

Yes. aiSummary only processes the page content when you request a summary. We don't track your browsing history or store personal data. The extension only sends the URL of the page you want summarized to our servers, and summaries are not stored permanently. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Privacy policies, terms of service, and other legal documents are often long and complex. aiSummary automatically appears on these pages to help you quickly understand the key points. This is one of the most valuable use cases for AI summarization!
